Intro to WebEx for New Users

Body

What is WebEx?

Webex enables an individual to share their computer (desktop) with others while chatting (speaking/listening) over the phone and allows you to have a teleconference style meeting and share content (documents, presentations, demo websites, etc.) with others.

Please sign in at tstcedu.webex.com

There are no user credentials for WebEx. You will simply click on ‘Log In’ or ‘Sign In’.

There is no difference between the two screen shots above; the top photo is the Classic View of WebEx and the bottom is the Modern View. Please select whichever view you’d like.

To Create a Meeting, you can either set up a meeting via the WebEx website or use your TSTC Google Calendar

OR

You can use the Cisco WebEx Meetings software application. This can be downloaded directly from the downloads page at Cisco WebEx.

Schedule a Meeting via Google Calendar

Please keep in mind you must have installed the Google WebEx Add-On via the Marketplace. If you have not done so, Click HERE and follow the steps accordingly.

Fill out the meeting information such as: title, date, and time. You can then add your Guests with their First or Last Names, email addresses, etc.

Next you will want to click the arrow next to Add Google Meet video. You will want to select either WebEx Meeting or Webex Personal Room meeting.

Once you select WebEx meeting all the necessary information will automatically populate for the meeting.

Once you have looked over your meeting invite (see below) and all looks correct, click Save, the invite will be sent to all guests invited.

Once the meeting is saved, you can edit the meeting and add more guests, change the WebEx meeting information, delete it, etc.
