SirsiDynix Overview and How to add Users

SirsiDynix is a stand alone cloud based application used by the libraries.

Librarians and library staff maintain and add users in the application as needed.

OIT is usually contacted when any kind of settings need to be added to the application.

Although the library staff Naomi Tran has System Admin access and is able to add users and remove them, below are the steps to add users:

1. Log into SirsiDynix site: https://na3.bc.sirsidynix.net/admin/ Username is same as OneID, but password is not SSO, not synced to OKTA

2. Click on Admin > Security > Users  > Create User

3. Enter Information:

First Name, Last Name, Username (make is as OneId)
Password: (Not synced to OKTA)
User Level: System Admin (for the Primary Admin and the back up Admin)

Levels are: Non-Staff, Staff, Supervisor, Local Admin and System Admin.

Home Institution: Texas State Technical College
email:
Take default for the other two fields  > Create

4. Click on Access Settings tab to add the specific settings. For this you can verify with the requester to see whose access we are mirroring, then just add that to the new account.

5. You can also copy someone's profile in order to create a new one.

As you can see, the Access settings was set to exactly what the other account has:
