This guide covers how a students OneID can be reset using the Entra ID reset page utilized by approved members of enrollment.
1. First navigate to the Entra User Pannel and sign in using your TSTC Microsoft account, once you sign in, you should be able to see active users, you can search for a user by entering their name in the search panel.
2. Search for the student you are wanting to issue a reset for. Once you have located the student, click on their account to open and view reset options. (Student accounts will show in the format "oneID@mymail.tstc.edu"). Click to view full image.
3. Once you hit "Reset Password" You will then be prompted with an additional screen to confirm the reset.
On this screen you must manually create a temporary password for the account. Note that the password must meet our complexity requirements. At least 14 characters , lowercase letter , uppercase letter , number, symbol and cannot contain any parts of the students name or user-name.
When you have entered a valid password, you will be able to click the "Reset password" option on the screen.
This reset does not get emailed to an account on file, and must be disclosed to the student at the time of reset.
5.) This reset will automatically sync to their account, meaning that they can use that password to sign in at login.tstc.edu.
On the students end when they sign in they will be prompted with a message that their password has expired and be asked to change their password.
After completing the password change, they might be asked to enter their password one more time before being taken into the application dashboard.
