Gmail Templates

This is a step by step guide to turn on and to use Gmail templates that you create within Gmail.

Purpose: To explain how to turn on, create, and use email templates in Gmail. 

How to turn on email templates in Gmail

In Gmail,

1. Go to settings
2. See all settings
3. Click on advanced 
4. Under the “Templates” section click on Enable
5. Click save changes

How to create email templates

1. Click on compose 
2. Enter the information you want to be in your template
3. Click the vertical 3 dots in the compose window
4. Go to templates
5. Save draft as template
6. Save as new template
7. Enter a template name
8. Click Save

How to use your template

1. Click on compose
2. Click the vertical 3 dots in the compose window
3. Go to templates
4. Under the insert template section, choose the template you wish to use
