How to add contacts in Gmail and Create Labels (Like Groups)

There are times when users may be e-mailing a group of people consistantly. Instead of having to be addind their e-mail addresses one by one, they would rather have a group. This way they could just type the group name and e-mail all the user at once.

To do so, follow theses steps:

1. Log into gmail.com, then click on the apps icon on top right

2. Click on Contacts

3. Click on "Create Label" This will function like that name of the group. Although you are not actually creating a group, you will be able to bring up the list of users that will be added to this label.

So, when writing an e-mail, instead of having to type so many name, just type the name of your label and everyone in it will show.

4. Under Search, enter the name of the users you want in your label. You will do one at a time.

If the user has the "Add Contact" icon on it, that means the user is not part of your local contacts. It ony resides in the global contact list. You cannot add a label to a person that is not part of your local contacts.

5. Click on Add to Contacts. Once you add the user, you will see a mesage that it has been added. Do this to all of the users that you want in for your group. Again, if you look up a user and don't see the "Add Contact" option, that means that the user is already part of your contacts.

6.Go to Contacts, select the users that you want to be part of your label.

7. Click on Manage Labels

8. Select the desired label and then click Apply

You will get a confirmation of the action taken.

9. Go back to your e-mail and select compose. Uncer the To field, enter the name of your label. Once you do it, the names of the members will be import it into that field.

Now you can send your e-mail.

You can always go back and remote or add users to your lable.

Thanks and have a blessed day!
