There are times when you want to search for an e-mail. Since we use Google Hangouts, you may get lots of results, thus makes it difficult to know what result is the one you are looking for. You have to be clicking an clicking away.
Below is a way to avoid doing that.
1. Type what you are looking for on the search bar in Gmail. You may type a name, subject matter or any thing inside the actual email you are looking for.
At first you are going to see a lot of results
2. Now you after you type the subject, person or anything related to the email, click on the arrow next to the X (show search options)
Put a check-mark on "Don't include chats", then click search
Now you can see that it yields less results, as it's only showing e-mails related to the subject, not chats.
Under the search options there are other useful features as well.
