Installing fonts on a Mac

Installing New fonts on Mac. 

 

Make sure all applications are closed out New fonts will not be detected if programs like Word or Pages id left open.

 

After downloading and unzipping the new fonts to the Mac select the magnifying glass at the top in the toolbar.

 

 

This will bring up the search window. From here type in Fonts.

 

Open the font folder. Open the new fonts from the unzipped folder.

From their you can drag and drop them into the Font Folder. Right click on the background of  the folder this will give you some options select Arrange By

 Choose the correct option that will allow you to clean up the order of that folder so it will appear neatly.

Close out of all your windows and restart the Mac. Now the new fonts will appear in word or pages or any other program that will use them.
