Task Manager Stopped Working

Task Manager has stopped working

 

If Task Manager has stopped working this could be due to Administrator has disabled it or a virus or spy ware has blocked it. Follow these steps to enable Task Manager.

 

First make sure you have Admin rights. This step covers how to enable Task Manager with Group Policy.



 

Press The WINDOWS + R to open the Run Box.

Type:  gpedit.msc this will start the local group policy editor.

 

Then navigate down to the following:

User Configuration > Administrative Templates > System >

Ctrl + Alt + Del options

Since the Task Manager has been disabled double click on Remove Task Manager

In this section is where it can be confusing. 

 

Not Configured: is exactly what it means nothing has been disabled or enabled.

Enabled: mean that Task Manager will not work.

Disabled: Means that Task Manager will work.
