1. Double-click the RSLinx Icon from the desktop.
a. If the Icon is not on the desktop screen use the following instructions
1. Click on the START menu.
2. Click Programs.
3. Click Rockwell Software.
4. Click RSLinx Classic.
The RSLinx window will appear, it may appear gray.
2. Click Communications on the main menu bar.
3. Click Configure Drivers in the Communications drop-down menu.
3. The Configure Drivers window will appear it should read "AB DF1-1". "DH485" to the right should read Running in the Configured Drivers area.
4. Click on the Configure button to the right. The Configure Communications Device window should appear.
5. Click on Auto-Configure. System should run through some script then when the PLC has connected the message Auto Configuration Successful will appear. This will mean that the PLC CPU is communicating with the PC.
6. Click on OK
7. Close the Configure Drivers window
8. Minimize (do not close) the main RS Linx window incase communications need to be reestablished.
