Purchasing Software

Software Purchase Process at TSTC:

  1. Submit a project request:
  2. Consultation:
    • OIT Solutions will contact you to discuss your request in detail.
  3. Security and compliance check:
    • OIT Solutions will ensure the software has been approved by OIT Security
  4. Purchase:
    • OIT Solutions will enter the purchase request in RSolution (if applicable)
      • OR
    • Requestor will submit requisition (REQ) in Workday

What kind of software purchases need to be reviewed?

  • All software purchases made with a PCard

  • All software purchases made with a Purchase Order

  • All software that goes through the RFP process

  • All software purchases made with grant money

  • All FREE software

  • All applications on state owned mobile devices

I know what software I want to purchase.

  1. Review this spreadsheet to see if the software you wish to purchase or use is approved or not approved for use. 

  2. If the software is not approved or not on the list, then complete an OIT Project Request Form of the specific software you wish to purchase and the objectives you would like the software to meet. 

    1. Please include a link to the website for the vendor and any additional information about the software you wish to have reviewed. ​​​​​​

  3. If the software you wish to purchase is on the list and approved, complete an OIT Project Request Form of the specific software you wish to purchase and the objectives you would like the software to meet.

  3. Select IT Solutions Project Request

  4. Fill out the form
