Pulse Secure causes network slowness

Logging into Pulse Secure causes extreme network slowness

Issue:

Mainly for Windows users, but when logged into the Pulse Secure Desktop Client, users experience  slow network speeds, or the inability to access any website.  Once logged out the network speeds are fine.

I will outline the steps below or you can use the following Pulse Secure KB Article:  https://kb.pulsesecure.net/articles/Pulse_Secure_Article/KB43833

Steps:
1. Goto the Windows Control Panel.
2. Under "Network and Internet" click on "View network Status and tasks"
3. Click on "Change Adapter Settings"
4. You will see the netowrk adapters.  They will probably say "Ethernet" and "Wi-Fi"  Select the one for the wireless adapter, right click it and select "Change Adapter Properties."
5. In the next Window you will see a bunch of options.  Under "This connection uses the Following Items" uncheck the box next to "Juniper Network Services" and click OK.
6. You should be back at the Window showing the network adapters.  If not go back through steps 1-3
7. Run Pulse Secure and log into the VPN
8. In the Windows showing the network adapters, a new adapter that says "Pulse Secure" or "Virtual Adapter" will show up once you log into the VPN.
9. For the new adapter that shows up,right click on it and select "Change Adapter Properties" and then follow step 5.
10.This should take care of the slowness issue when logged into Pulse Secure
