Video Conferencing Resources

The purpose of this article is to indicate the video conferencing resources available to faculty and staff. These tools can be used to maintain productivity with peers whose locations are remote to your own. A description of each tool will be given, and a link for further information provided. 

 

Google Chat

Google Chat can be used to keep in touch with faculty, staff and student contacts. You can create group chats of up to 150 participants and initiate video calls with up to 25. This app is available for use in your Windows PC, Mac, Android and Apple phones. Pick from the articles listed below for more information and How-To's:

 

Google Meet

Meet is Google's video conferencing software. Although very similar to Google Hangouts video calls, it is geared towards meetings with larger participant capacity and does not have a chat function. Meet will allow for video conferencing with up to 100 participants and is compatible with Windows PC, Mac, Android and Apple phones. More information below:
